About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced renewals professional to step into a management position within the firm’s Records and Formalities team. You’ll oversee all aspects of patent and design renewals, act as the firm’s key contact for CPA, and play a pivotal role in developing team processes and mentoring junior staff. The role offers real scope to shape the department’s future as it continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all UK, EU, and international patent and design renewals
  • Act as the primary point of contact for CPA, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage renewal reminders, payments, reports, and related documentation
  • Investigate and resolve renewal queries, liaising with agents and clients
  • Maintain and manage C&R accounts at CPA
  • Provide renewal reports and updates to clients and colleagues
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental strategy
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in IP renewals or formalities
  • Strong understanding of UK, EU, and international renewal procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Confident liaising with clients and external agents
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
